See our Fairy Trail transformed for Easter.
Pop into the Food Market or Shop to pick up a quiz sheet and follow in the Easter Bunny’s footsteps to find all 10 carrot patches hidden along the route and stamp your sheet at each one. Once you’ve made your way round the trail, bring back your completed quiz sheet to be exchanged for a chocolatey treat.
Every sheet returned will be entered into a prize draw to WIN a voucher to spend here on a Jellycat soft toy!

We’re delighted to launch Mucky Mondays - a series of drop in workshops, each with a different theme, giving your child the opportunity to get creative using nature for inspiration; to explore, to investigate, play and get their hands dirty across the seasons!
Head Gardener and ex primary school teacher, Kerry Lyall will guide your child through art, craft & nature activities using materials from our Gardens, the wider estate and upcycled packaging to create a variety of objects such as sun-catchers, seed mosaics, bee hotels and bird feeders.

Dive into hands-on space-themed activities and uncover the fascinating science behind our solar system. Perfect for all ages, this celebration of space promises an educational and fun-filled experience. Be sure to also embark on a captivating tour of the solar system along the Dirleton Solar Walk, stretching from Archerfield Walled Garden to Dirleton Village.
Learn about the night sky when you step into the planetarium, virtually drive a Mars Rover or experience a space walk out of the International Space Station. Find out how satellites & communication work or enjoy a Geology timescale walk. There will be the opportunity to take a first foray into the world of robotics and our Fairy Trail will be taken over by aliens! More activities to be announced soon.

The Big Egg Hunt
Children will love our Easter themed egg hunt around the Gardens.
Using a list of clues, explore the Gardens to find six different coloured eggs. Once you've collected all your eggs, return them in exchange for a prize. Keep an eye out for a rare golden egg, which can be traded for an eggstraordinary reward.
Every group will be given 30 minutes to collect their eggs!

£7.50 per child + booking fee. Adults do not require a ticket.

Gardeners’ Question Time
Gardeners' Question Time is back this Spring!
Whether you're an avid gardener or just getting started, this event is a great way to seek expert advice on gardening, growing and landscaping in a sociable and informal way. Ask those niggling questions and have them answered by our panel whose collective expertise spans general gardening, garden design, veg growing, sustainability, bulb & cut flower growing, wildlife habitats, community gardens and so much more!
The evening will begin with a welcome drink in the Garden Café and a demo by The Lady Gardener. Susie will show you how to use plants to provide impact in your borders and help you understand the role that form, colour, scent and texture play in the garden. She will talk about creating layers and using focal points as well as how to add interest with accent plants. After the demo finishes, Question Time will begin! Our expert panel will introduce themselves and then answer your pre-submitted questions. At the end of the night, the Garden Shop will be open for those wishing to shop with 10% off all products* for Gardeners’ Question Time attendees.

Susie Coupar aka The Lady Gardener offers a bespoke garden design service which includes 3D visuals, project management, planting and maintenance. View past and present projects on Instagram at @the_lady_gardener
Susie will be answering questions on gardening & garden design.
Kerry Lyall, Head Gardener, Archerfield Walled Garden
RBGE trained; Kerry is a horticultural all-rounder and an edibles enthusiast. She loves gardening sustainably; welcoming wildlife and is a no dig diva.
Kerry will be taking questions on growing edibles, sustainability and gardening for wildlife.
Fay Gourlay, Director, The North Berwick Flower Co.
Fed up with imported flowers, due to their heavy carbon footprint, Fay founded The North Berwick Flower Co. to provide local, naturally grown seasonal blooms. Her flower farm is based right here at Archerfield Walled Garden and will reopen for the season in May.
Fay will be answering questions on bulbs & cut flowers.
Neil Davidson, Head Gardener at Greywalls
With over 40 years’ experience as a professional horticulturist; Neil is a fount of gardening knowledge. He is president of the East Linton Flower Show and has judged many a local floral competition.
Neil will be answering general gardening questions.
Erin Armstrong, Garden Coordinator at Amisfield Walled Garden
A career changer who studied Horticulture at SRUC, Erin is the Garden Coordinator at Amisfield Walled Garden. She manages over 80 volunteers in the eight acre, mixed planting, community garden. She also enjoys growing flowers, fruit and veg with her dad at his smallholding in East Lothian, as seen on Beechgrove Garden.
Erin will be answering community gardening, gardening for wellbeing and general gardening questions

Archerfield 10k
The Archerfield 10k is back! Whether you're training for a marathon, attempting a PB or are simply looking to up your fitness, this is the event for you.
Run, walk, or jog this scenic mixed terrain route which takes in the Archerfield Estate and surrounding beauty spots. Enjoy a speedy start with the first few k's mostly on roads, before striding out onto the sands of Yellowcraig beach to see Fidra Island in front of you. Once your sandy steps are complete, you'll travel back towards the finish along a series of tree-lined trails, before joining the gravel path back to our main gates.

This is a chip timed event. Your finish time will be sent to your mobile number after you’ve crossed the finish line. If you would like a print out, you can visit the chip timing van on site. The full results will be posted online at perfecttimingscotland.co.uk/results/ after the race.
Bringing friends or family?
There’s lots for your cheering squad to get on with while they wait for your return. The Garden Café serves a range of breakfast options, while the Shop is full of gifts, homeware, womenswear and more. There's plenty to explore outdoors too with acres of Grounds including a Fairy Trail, Pond, Willow Walk and beautiful Gardens.
Minimum Age
Entrants must be aged 16 and over.

Bag Drop
We will not have a secure bag drop and won't accept responsibility for loss or damage to posessions left unattended while you run. We recommend you leave items of value in your car or with a friend / family member.
Parking
We have two car parks here and also two overflow car parks, all of which are free of charge.
Dogs
Due to the number of runners, dogs are not permitted to run with you at this event. However, they are welcome at Archerfield Walled Garden, so if you have a friend or family member to leave them with while you run, they can enjoy all areas as long as they are kept on a lead (excluding the children's play park).
Medical Assistance
The Scottish Ambulance Service will be on site should you have any medical concerns and our staff and marshals around the course will be able to help you if you need support.
Water Station
There is one water station on the route which is situated approximately at the 5/7k point, offering two opportunities to rehydrate. This will be located at the Yellowcraigs toilets.
Toilets
There are public toilet facilities located on the route at Yellowcraig car park.

Safety notice
You will be running on some uneven surfaces for example on the tracks through the woods. Runners should come adequately prepared for uneven, gravel or mud surfaces. The route will be well sign posted, with marshals sited at various intervals. Safety is paramount and we expect runners to always follow the advice of marshals especially at points where runners are on public roads. To ensure runner safety, the wearing of earphones is not recommended.
Cancellation Policy
This event is strictly non-refundable. In the eventuality of Archerfield Walled Garden cancelling the event due to adverse weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will offer you a full refund of your registration fee minus any booking fees paid.

Join us for an evening of style to celebrate the arrival of our new Spring Summer 25 womenswear collections!
Hosted by personal stylist Laura from Satisfashion, the evening will showcase a range of items with advice on how to style them. Learn how to wear an item in different ways, take outfits from day to night and elevate any look. We'll have some models on hand to show off various looks, before you have the chance to try on items yourself. All the while, Laura will be on hand to offer her expert advice.
