Sous Chef
We are looking for a Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef to join the team in our thriving Garden Café kitchen.
Key responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Contribute to menu development, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the table.
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff with a positive and professional approach.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety and food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring seamless service during our busy periods.
Maintain a good relationship with the front of house team.
Required:
Proven experience as a Sous or Junior Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high quality, fresh food environment.
Strong understanding of seasonal ingredients and the ability to create dishes that reflect the best of local produce.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.

Work schedule: day shifts with limited evening shifts for occasional events.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Pay: Up to £35k per year, depending on experience
